Why keep lifting pounds of extra junk in your handbag and strain your shoulders? More often than not, you're probably carrying around a majority of less than vital items anyway.
The most important items should be money, ATM card, and a form of identification like your driver's license, credit cards or checkbook (only if you plan to need them), keys, glasses, phone or PDA, work badge if necessary, tissues, medicine if you're taking it, lipstick or gloss and your compact for touch-ups!
