Save Yourself Pain and Lighten Your Handbag!

Why keep lifting pounds of extra junk in your handbag and strain your shoulders?  More often than not, you're probably carrying around a majority of less than vital items anyway. 

The most important items should be money, ATM card, and a form of identification like your driver's license, credit cards or checkbook (only if you plan to need them), keys, glasses, phone or PDA, work badge if necessary, tissues, medicine if you're taking it, lipstick or gloss and your compact for touch-ups!

Your cat is not the only one that should take advantage of kitty litter.  You should try it on a grease spill on your garage floor to help clean it up.  It also helps to leave some in out in a container where mildew is a problem. 

Another Use for Your Old Shower Curtain!

That old shower curtain you intend to throw away should be recycled to line your car's trunk.  By doing so, you'll keep it cleaner by catching any spills or dirt!

Allergy Sufferers Should Avoid Carpeting in Your Bathroom

If you're like me and have a problem with allergies, then you should resist the urge to have any rug in your bathroom.  Any carpeting in a moisture prone area such as a bathroom can be a great place for mold to hide and flourish.  Instead, it's better to have a floor that you can clean easily with mop or rag and bucket to wash at least twice a week.

Remove That Awful Smell When Painting a Room

Here's a wonderful tip for when you are about to paint a room and want to get rid of that stinky paint odor.  Put a tablespoon of vanilla in that can of paint and it will help reduce some of that terrible smell.

Remove Stains From Vases!

If you have stains at the bottoms of your vases and want a way to get them clean, I have a great solution for you to try.  Cut up a raw potato and place inside the vase with some white vinegar.  Shake the two together for a few minutes before rinsing.  This trick will clean them out.

Never Mix Cleaning Products!

Sometimes, you may be tempted to stretch a cleaning product to finish the job when you're nearly out of a product.  However, you are playing a dangerous game.  You don't know what hazards you could be causing to your health by combining products.  The best thing is use what you have or turn to natural cleaning ingredients from your kitchen.

Wash Your Pillows Properly!

You can wash your feather and cotton pillows by putting them in the gentle cycle with a mild detergent.  To save them from losing shape and plumping them back up, you can add some clean tennis balls in the dryer with them!

Clear Out the Leftovers!

The day before garbage collection is the best time to clean your refrigerator of all leftover food.  Either eat them or throw them away because they'll only be pushed to the back of the refrigerator and just go to waste.
